wow!  Last English class was such a different experience.  Our class was brought into the staff lounge where we were given hot chocolates and comfortable chairs to relax on. 

And yes it was an educational experience.  We were brought there to have a larger understanding of burning CDs and censorship.  It gets better…all of this was done on our school new interactive whiteboard which in this situation displayed the movie we watched.  The movie was about CD burning and what is legal and what isnt.  It lead onto a discussion on censorship which our class was pretty enthusiastic about the matter.  We had a little debate about our thoughts, during this i learnt quite alot about how others thought of the matter.

I found this class easier to be educated and learn more.  It seemed more interesting to learn in such a different comfortable environment.

hey whoever’s reading this!

in class today (17-8-05) we firstly looked at the word ‘metacognition’ meaning thinking about about how we think (and how we learn…).  it was written up on the board and we associated words that defined metacognition, and we corresponded it with the matching letters in the word…a little confusing huh?  im not such a good explainer!

next in groups, and then as a class we debated and decided what our criteria would be for our poetry anthology.  in my poetry anthology it consists of 1.a haiku , 2 a sonnet, 3 my magic box and lastly 4 a response to something ive seen.  we have not yet been informed about the due date…i’m scared i won’t get it done in time!

Right now we are completing our first lot of blogs.  i not sure how long it is meant to be, or how long other classmates are…well i’ll soon find out!
